The Parents Obligations. (a) You undertake to inform the School of any situations where special arrangements may be needed in relation to the Pupil. The Parent shall also provide updates to the information provided to the School upon any such information changing. The Parent acknowledges that if this information is not updated, or there is a delay in updating this information with the School, then the School may not be able to provide the educational services as anticipated at the School and the School shall therefore not be liable in the event that the educational services cannot be provided in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and/or there is a delay or poor performance of the educational services due to the Parent not providing the information as requested, or delays in doing so. (b) The School will be entitled (unless notified otherwise) to treat any communication from any person who has signed the Acceptance Form as having been given on behalf of both/all such persons named on the Acceptance Form. Unless other arrangements are agreed between you and the School we shall be entitled to treat any communication from the School to any such person as having been made to both/all of them. (c) The Headmaster must be informed in writing of the reason(s) for any proposed absence of the Pupil from School. The School’s prior consent must be sought for such a proposed absence. You will not arrange absence for holidays during a School term. It is the Parents responsibility, where practicable, to ensure that there are no unauthorised absences of the Pupil from School. You recognise that unauthorised absences will cause disruption and inconvenience to the School and staff, and that the School may incur costs in reducing the effect of any such absences. You agree to pay an amount, to be determined by the Headmaster as his discretion, up to a maximum of £100 per day, to compensate the School for these costs. Persistent breaches of this clause will be regarded as a material breach of this contract see clause 9(i)(i). (d) We cannot accept any responsibility for the welfare of the Pupil while off the School premises unless they are taking part in a School activity or otherwise under the supervision of a member of the School staff. It is expected and assumed that you agree to the involvement of the Pupil, if and when selected, when representing the School in team sports or similar activities, either inside or outside normal School hours. If the Pupil is selected for a School match, either during the week or at the weekend, he or she must participate. Parents must notify the Director of Sport and ask for permission to be excused from the match at least 72 hours before the match is due to take place. The Director of Sport’s decision shall be final. (e) This is an inclusive school, based on a Christian foundation, which seeks to xxxxxx understanding of, and empathy with, people from a wide range of religions and religious traditions; including those who have no religious belief. As such every parent is expected to support the School’s inclusive vision through ensuring that their child participates in all Religious Education lessons and activities which are timetabled. An outline of the Schools’ Religious Education programme is available on request. (f) If you have cause for concern as to a matter of safety, care, discipline or progress of the Pupil you must inform the School without delay. Complaints must be made in accordance with the School’s Complaints Procedure, a copy of which can be obtained from the School Secretary. The Headmaster needs to be aware of any matters that are relevant to the Pupil’s security and safety. The Headmaster must therefore be notified in writing immediately of any court orders or situations of risk in relation to the Pupil for whom any special safety precautions may be needed. A Parent may be excluded from School premises if the Headmaster, acting in a proper manner, considers such exclusion to be in the best interests of the Pupil or of the School. (g) Every effort will be made to inform Parents about serious breaches of School Rules but it must be accepted that the Headmaster has complete discretion in the imposition of sanctions, including suspension or expulsion, without any refund of Fees, and reserves the right of refusing admission for any reason whatsoever. (h) When both Parents will be absent from the Pupil’s home for a 24 hour period or longer, the School requires, in writing, the name, address and telephone number for 24 hour contact of the adult to whom parental responsibility has been delegated in loco parentis. (i) The School shall also be entitled to terminate the Contract immediately on written notice to the Parent if: (i) the Parent commits a material breach of the terms of the Contract and (in the case of a breach which is capable of remedy) fails to remedy that material breach within thirty (30) days of notice of such material breach; or (ii) the Parent becomes bankrupt or insolvent.

You are responsible for making suitable arrangements to appoint an education guardian and you shall immediately on appointment provide the School with up to date contact details for the appointed education guardian and shall immediately notify the School of any changes to those details. You shall upon request provide such further information to the School as we reasonably require to satisfy ourselves that their child participates in all Religious Education lessons the proposed appointment and activities which or arrangements are timetabled.
