Political Event A Political Event shall mean one or more of the following acts or events by or on account of any Government Instrumentality:
Political Action No Employee shall be disciplined for participation in any political action(s) called for by the Canadian Labour Congress, its affiliates, or subordinate bodies.
Political Contributions The Company has not directly or indirectly, (a) made any unlawful contribution to any candidate for public office, or failed to disclose fully any contribution in violation of law, or (b) made any payment to any federal, state, local, or foreign governmental officer or official, or other person charged with similar public or quasi-public duties, other than payments required or permitted by the laws of the United States or any other such jurisdiction.
Political Activity An employee shall not use his or her official authority for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the nomination or election of any candidate for public office. An employee shall not be prohibited from participation in local community activities or from holding public office in the community in which the employee resides, provided that such activity does not conflict with Section 3.01 of the Rules and Regulations for Personnel Administration (and the Federal Hatch Act to the extent that employees of agencies receiving federal funds are subject thereto).
Real Estate Commissions Neither Seller nor Purchaser has authorized any broker or finder to act on any party’s behalf in connection with the sale and purchase hereunder and neither Seller nor Purchaser has dealt with any broker or finder purporting to act on behalf of any other party. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, this Section 9.2 shall survive the Closing or any earlier termination of this Agreement.
Interstate Educational Personnel Contracts 1. The designated state official of a party state may make 1 or more contracts on behalf of his state with 1 or more other party states providing for the acceptance of educational personnel. Any such contract for the period of its duration shall be applicable to and binding on the states whose designated state officials enter into it, and the subdivisions of those states, with the same force and effect as if incorporated in this agreement. A designated state official may enter into a contract pursuant to this article only with states in which he finds that there are programs of education, certification standards or other acceptable qualifications that assure preparation or qualification of educational personnel on a basis sufficiently comparable, even though not identical to that prevailing in his own state.
