Common use of Tier Two-Eligibility Clause in Contracts

Tier Two-Eligibility. To qualify for District-paid lifetime medical and dental benefits a retiree hired prior to July 1, 1994 must meet the following criteria: a. Active participation in the District fringe benefit program at the time of retirement. b. Retirement through State Teachers Retirement System or Public Employees Retirement System c. Service to the District must immediately precede retirement. d. Enrollment in all parts of Medicare when initially eligible. The retiree must also participate in a Medicare plans offered by CalPERS at age 65. e.
