For those job classifications for which the City provides outfitting of tools, the City will replace in kind tools worn out, damaged, or broken through no fault of the employee. 2. Employees losing tools or causing damage to tools through negligence or willful conduct will be required to replace the tools at the employee’s expense and/or be disciplined under Civil Service Rule XI, Section 3. 3. City furnished tools shall not be used for private purposes or private gain (Administrative Regulation 45.50).
