Traffic Regulation. 16.1 Traffic regulation by the Contractor
(i) The Contractor shall take all the required measures and make arrangements for the safety of Users during the Construction and Maintenance of the Project Highway or a Section thereof in accordance with the provisions of MORTH Specifications. It shall provide, erect and maintain all such barricades, signs, markings, flags, and lights as may be required by Good Industry Practice for the safety of the traffic passing through the Section under construction or maintenance.
(ii) All works shall be carried out in a manner creating least interference to traffic passing through the Project Highway or a Section thereof. In sections where construction or maintenance Works on the carriageway are taken up, the Contractor shall ensure that proper passage is provided for the traffic. Where it is not possible or safe to allow traffic on part width of the carriageway, a temporary diversion of proper specifications shall be constructed by the Contractor at its own cost. ‘ROBOTS’ may be used for diversion and control of traffic during Construction. The Contractor shall take prior approval of the Authority’s Engineer for any proposed arrangement for traffic regulation during Construction and Maintenance, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.

Traffic Regulation. 1. Regulate traffic as required by the City of San ▇▇▇▇ Department of Public Works "Standard Specifications" General Provisions, dated July 1992. Applicable articles for airport access gate control and escort is contained in this Section. Submit the Traffic Plan as required.

14.1.1 The Contractor shall take all the required measures and make arrangements for the safety of any persons or Users and vehicles on or about the Site during the construction of the Project or a section thereof in accordance with Good Industry Practice, and Applicable Laws. It shall provide, erect and maintain all such barricades, signs, markings, flags, and lights as may be required by Good Industry Practice for the safety of the traffic using any public roads or access along or across the Project Site under construction.
14.1.2 All works shall be carried out in a manner creating least interference to traffic passing along or across the Project. The Contractor shall ensure that proper passage is provided for the traffic. Where it is not possible or safe to allow traffic on the existing road or passage, a temporary diversion of proper specifications shall be constructed by the Contractor at its own cost. The Contractor shall take prior approval of the Authority Engineer for any proposed arrangement for traffic regulation during Construction, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld.
14.1.3 In the event any construction work is required to be executed in close proximity of an existing operating system of Railways, the Contractor shall make arrangements for the safety of such system in accordance with the provisions of the ‘Compendium of Instructions on Safety at work Sites’ issued by the Authority and Good Industry Practice.
Traffic Regulation. A. During the performance of the Work the Contractor shall erect and maintain necessary temporary fences, bridges, railings, lights, signals, barriers, or other safeguards as shall be appropriate under the circumstance in his/her judgment for the prevention of accidents; and he/she shall take other precautions as necessary for public safety including, but not limited to, traffic control. Traffic control shall be conducted in accordance with the latest edition of the Work Area Traffic Control (“WATCH”) handbook, published by BNi Books, and as directed and approved by the City Traffic and Transportation Administrator.
B. Contractor shall submit at least ten (10) Working Days prior to Work a detailed traffic control plan, that is approved by all agencies having jurisdiction and that conforms to all requirements of the Specifications.
C. No changes or deviations from the approved detailed traffic control plan shall be made, except temporary changes in emergency situations, without prior approval of the City Traffic and Transportation Administrator and all agencies having jurisdiction. Contractor shall immediately notify the Director, the City Traffic and Transportation Administrator and the agencies having jurisdiction of occurrences that necessitate modification of the approved traffic control plan.
D. Contractor’s failure to comply with this provision may result in actions as provided in Article 5: “Suspension or Termination of Contract” of these General Conditions.
