Transfer to Other Positions. In the event a bargaining unit employee is promoted to a non-bargaining unit position, he shall accrue service and seniority and retain the continuous service and seniority previously acquired in the bargaining unit job. This clause shall not apply if the bargaining unit employee is not returned to the bargaining unit within twelve (12) months from such promotion or reclassification.
