New Positions. The Board, in consultation with the Association, shall prepare a new job description whenever a new position of special responsibility is created or whenever the duties of any such position are changed or increased. When such a position is created or changed, the allowance shall be subject to negotiations between the Board and the Association.
New Positions. Any new position within the bargaining unit that is created as a result of a technological change will be posted in accordance with the job posting provision of the Collective Agreement.
New Positions. A Each newly created position shall be assigned by the Employer to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position with- in thirty (30) days after its creation. Before such assignment of each new position the Employer shall consult with the Union for the purpose of assigning the new position to the national craft unit most appropriate for such position. The following criteria shall be used in making this determination: A1 existing work assignment practices; A2 manpower costs; A3 avoidance of duplication of effort and "make work" as- signments; A4 effective utilization of manpower, including the Postal Ser- vice's need to assign employees across craft lines on a tem- porary basis; A5 the integral nature of all duties which comprise a normal duty assignment; A6 the contractual and legal obligations and requirements of the parties. B The Union shall be notified promptly by the Employer regarding assignments made under this provision. Should the Union dis- pute the assignment of the new position within thirty (30) days from the date the Union has received notification of the assign- ment of the position, the dispute shall be subject to the provi- sions of the grievance and arbitration procedure provided for herein.
New Positions. New job classifications established during the term of this Agreement will be covered by this Agreement unless they are not within the Union’s jurisdiction established by the description of its bargaining unit. The Union will be notified of any new classifications within these parameters established by the Employer.
New Positions. If during the life of this Agreement the Employer elects to create a new position in the unit defined by Article 1 (Recognition), then the Employer shall give the Union advance written notice of the wage rate. The Union shall have seven (7) calendar days from receipt of such notice to request negotiations on the proposed wage rate. If requested by the Union, the parties shall meet promptly to negotiate the wages for the new position.

(a) If during the life of this Agreement, and regardless of the classification system in place, NAV CANADA creates a new position, it shall so advise the Institute and provide it with the proposed job description and occupational group as well as the proposed effective date of the position and its location.
(b) If the Institute and NAV CANADA do not agree to the proposed classification and rate of pay, either party may submit a grievance in accordance with Article 18 of this Agreement.

The parties to the collective agreement may demand negotiations regarding determination of wages for positions not mentioned under section 4.1, and which naturally belong within the scope of the agreement. The determination of wages shall be decided through agreement or committee prior to individuals being employed in the position, if this is possible in practice.

Should the parties be unable to reach agreement, the job description may be submitted to Arbitration in accordance with Article 8.
