Common use of Two Times Clause in Contracts

Two Times. An employee shall be paid at the rate of two (2) times their base hourly rate of pay and at the rate of two (2) times any applicable shift differential for: 1. All hours worked in excess of sixteen (16) continuous hours, exclusive of the non-paid lunch period for "O" Shift, and for all hours worked on the seventh (7th) consecutive day worked in a workweek, provided he/she has worked or is credited with a minimum of four (4) hours in each of the preceding six (6) workdays of that workweek. Ten and Twelve hour shifts are exceptions per Article X, Section 3, (g) and (h). 2. Schedule change, if such change results in more than eight (8) hours worked in a 24-hour period or more than forty (40) hours worked in a workweek, except when such change is made at the request of or for the convenience of the employee.
