Common use of Unavailability of the ORCID Registry Clause in Contracts

Unavailability of the ORCID Registry. ORCID shall use commercially reasonable efforts to provide continuous availability of the ORCID Registry and the Member Benefits. However, Consortium Leader and each Consortium Member recognize that the ORCID Registry and the Member Benefits may not be available from time to time due to maintenance of the server(s), the installation or testing of software, and downtime relating to equipment or services outside the control of ORCID including, but not limited to, telecommunications services or Internet nodes or facilities; provided, however, that ORCID shall give Consortium Leader reasonable advance notice of any downtime within ORCID’s reasonable control.
