Common use of Underpayments Clause in Contracts

Underpayments. 1. If an underpayment of 10% of base monthly pay (5% of base monthly pay if paid twice a month) or $100, whichever is least, occurs in an employee's paycheck, a paycheck correction may be requested. Such request must be made to the appointing authority within two business days after receipt of the warrant. Otherwise, the correction shall be made in the next regularly issued warrant. 2. The Auditor-Controller will issue a corrected or supplemental warrant within three working days after receiving the request from the appointing authority. 3. Changes in salary resulting from step advances or changes in status are excluded from amounts which constitute paycheck errors for purposes of this Article.
