UNION DESCRIPTION. 3-1 The University acknowledges that in an election July 30, 1980, a majority of the employees described in the following bargaining unit description voted to have the Union represent these persons and acknowledges that on August 11, 1980, the Michigan Employment Relations Commission certified the Union as the sole and exclusive representative for the purposes of bargaining with respect to rates of pay, wages, hours of employment, and other conditions of employment.
