Union Officers or Delegates Clause Samples

Union Officers or Delegates. (a) A leave of absence shall be granted to those employees who are called upon to serve as Officers or Delegates of the Union. Such employees who were covered under the various Company Insurance Pro­ grams shall continue to be covered for the same insurance while serving as an officer or Delegate of the Union until replacement Insurance coverage from any other source can be obtained by such employee, or three (3) months, whichever occurs first. (b) It is understood that those employees who desire to return to employment with the Company apply in writing within three (3) months from the date of termination of their Union service. Such an employee will be restored within fifteen (15) days from the date of his written request to his former position, or a substantially equivalent position, at this former rate of pay plus any increase granted at such position during his absence.
