UNION RIGHTS AND REPRESENTATIVES. During the time prior to ratification of this Contract, the Union may request access to premises in accordance with the Access to Premises provision of the Contract in order to explain the negotiated Contract. A meeting may be conducted for up to thirty (30) minutes at each work site, and employees may attend such meeting by combining their fore and afternoon breaks. Management, where operationally feasible, shall attempt to accommodate employees who wish to attend such meetings by permitting them to combine their breaks. Employees who are unable to attend such a meeting due to the need to maintain coverage shall be allowed to combine their breaks, where operationally feasible, should subsequent pre-ratification meetings being conducted by the Union at that location. No employee may attend a thirty (30) minute meeting more than once.

UNION RIGHTS AND REPRESENTATIVES. 500 A. The Union will designate Union representatives Accredited to handle the day-to-day administration Union of this Agreement. The Union will notify the appropriate Representatives representative of Hydro One in writing of the names of such Union representatives, or alternates. Upon entering the work location, such representatives after identifying themselves to the Hydro One Representative and or the authorized representative of the Employer, and after the appropriate site orientation will be free to observe the progress and conduct of the work and to conduct normal Union business associated with the administration of this Collective Agreement. The Union undertakes that these representatives will not unduly interfere in any way with said work. 501 A. The Union reserves the right to appoint or remove a Union Xxxxxxx or Stewards on any work site where Stewards tradespersons are employed under the terms of this agreement. If a Xxxxxxx is transferred to another work site, he/she will continue to be recognized as a Xxxxxxx unless there is another Xxxxxxx on that site. In such cases, the transferred Xxxxxxx will not be recognized unless the Employer is notified by the Union.

The Xxxxxxx will be responsible for his regularly assigned work on behalf of his Employer. D. Such Stewards shall be allowed sufficient time to see that the provisions of this Agreement are observed. E. No Xxxxxxx shall be discriminated against by the Employer because of the performance of his duties as a Xxxxxxx. F. Provided he is qualified to do the work, a Xxxxxxx who is working on a station or tower site where overtime is being worked shall be given the first opportunity to work on that overtime work. Provided he is qualified to do the work, a Xxxxxxx who is working in a work group where overtime is being worked on Saturdays, Sundays or Recognized Holidays shall be given the first opportunity to work. G. Where appropriate and where more than one Xxxxxxx is required, one Xxxxxxx shall be appointed Chief Xxxxxxx. H. UNION RIGHTS AND REPRESENTATIVES. A. Access to Premises 1. Union officials and duly authorized Union representatives, whose names and identification have been previously submitted to and acknowledged by the State, shall be admitted to the premises of the State on Union business. Requests for such visits shall be directed with reasonable advance notice to State officials who shall be designated by the State and shall include the purpose of the visit, proposed time and date and specific work areas involved. Permission for such visits shall not be unreasonably withheld. Provided that requests have been made pursuant to this paragraph, such Union Officials shall have the opportunity to consult with employees in the unit before the start of the work shift, during lunch or breaks, or after completion of the work shift. The State will designate appropriate places for such meetings at its facilities. Access to the premises as set forth in this paragraph shall not be given by the State to any employee organization other than to the Union set forth herein or to any officer or representative of such other employee organization for the purpose of communicating with employees in this unit. 2. The Union shall be allowed to conduct normal business meetings on State properties, provided that space is available during hours when the facilities are open; requests are made and approved at least five (5) days in advance of the proposed date of use and that liability for the damages, care and maintenance, and any costs which are attendant thereto are borne by the Union. Employees may attend such meetings only during off duty hours. Less notice may be acceptable to the State. 3. The above is not intended to restrict Union Officials and Representatives from exercising their ordinary right as citizens as regards access to the public premises of the State.

UNION RIGHTS AND REPRESENTATIVES. A. Access to Premises 1. Duly authorized Union Officials, whose names and identifications have been previously sent to the Township, shall be admitted to the premises of the Township for Union business. Requests for such visits shall be by mutual consent and with a minimum of one week advance notice made to the Township and shall include the purpose of the visit, proposed time and date and specific work areas involved. Permission for such visits shall not be unreasonably withheld. 2. Duly authorized Union Officials and representatives shall have the right to consult with employees in the Unit before the work shift starts, during lunch or breaks, or after the work shift. The Township shall designate appropriate facilities for such meetings. B. A maximum of three members of the Union may comprise the negotiating team and shall be allowed to attend negotiation sessions, without loss of pay, when such sessions are scheduled during regular working hours. C. Duly authorized Union Officials and/or Stewards shall have the right to take action while on duty if an emergency situation arises concerning Union business. He/she shall request permission from his/her immediate supervisor to leave his/her post before any action is taken and such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. D. The Township shall provide space on the existing bulletin board located outside the lunch room in the Township Municipal Building, Municipal Police/Court building and Public Works Building for the use of the Union in posting notices concerning Union business and activities. Further, duplicate notices may be posted by the Union at other locations in all offices of the Township. 1. The posting of said notices shall be under the control of the Union President or his/her duly authorized representative. 2. The Union shall submit to the Business Administrator, at the time of posting, a copy of said notice. 3. The Business Administrator shall have the right to remove said notice if the same is of a derogatory nature. E. The Union agrees to furnish the Township with a written list of Union officers; such list shall be kept current. F. The Union has the sole right and discretion to designate stewards and to specify their respective responsibilities and authority to act for the Union. G. The Township shall provide time off, with pay, to designated Union officials to investigate grievances and to represent members in all disciplinary or grievance matters. H. Requests for permission shall be promptly acted upon and permission for such visits shall not be unreasonably withheld. Such Union officials shall have the opportunity to consult with employees before the start of the work shift, during lunch or breaks, or after completion of the work shift. The State will provide accommodations at its facilities for such meetings.
