Common use of Unsuccessful Candidate Clause in Contracts

Unsuccessful Candidate. An unsuccessful applicant from the Bargaining Unit may, within 10 days of notification of the awarding of the position, make a request for an explanation as to why they were not granted the position. The Employer shall provide an explanation to the Employee as soon as practicable after receipt of the request. The time limit for the filing of a grievance under Step One of the Grievance Procedure shall run from the date the Employee receives the explanation from the Employer.
