Secondment. Where an Employee is being seconded from the Employer to a position involving the Health Sector of the Broader Public Sector, the terms and conditions of the secondment agreement will be established by agreement of the Employer and the Union.
Secondment. 4.3.1 The University may arrange for the secondment of an employee from another place of employment, with the approval of the Faculty Association. Such approval shall not be withheld unreasonably.
4.3.2 The University may arrange for the secondment of the services of an academic staff member, with that member’s consent, to another employer. The terms of the secondment shall be made known to the member concerned prior to seeking such consent. The Faculty Association and department heads or other appropriate person shall be provided with a copy of the secondment agreements.
Secondment. Employees may apply for a secondment of two weeks every three years to a recognised unit or posting for the purpose of professional development and upgrading skills which is relevant to their duties and responsibilities.
Secondment. 19.1 The purposes of this Clause is to provide a power to second employees:
a) from the College to another TAFE College in Western Australia; and
b) from the College to the Department of Training.
19.2 Secondments under this clause must be:
a) undertaken by agreement between the employer and employee; and
b) in accordance with the Public Sector Standards on Human Resource Management.
19.3 If legislation is introduced that provides for the secondment of employees between campuses, colleges and/or the Department of Training then the provisions of this clause will cease to have effect from the date the legislation takes effect.
Secondment. Secondment occurs when the academic staff member is authorized to render service to an outside institution or project and remains wholly or partially on the University of Calgary payroll. Unless otherwise explicitly specified in the secondment arrangements, an academic staff member on secondment to another organization shall be deemed to be fulfilling University of Calgary duties equivalent to the portion of the normal academic rank salary paid by the University of Calgary.
Secondment. 33.1 Upon request for leave, a member of the Staff Association shall be seconded from the Board to the Calgary Board of Education Staff Association.
33.2 There shall be no cost to the Board during the leave.
33.3 The Staff Association member shall receive an applicable salary from the Board according to the current Collective Agreement and shall be subject to its provisions. The Staff Association shall reimburse the Board for such member at such periods as the Board may request.
33.4 The duration of this leave shall be for the term specified in the secondment contract.
33.5 The Staff Association Chairperson shall advise the Superintendent of Human Resources in the event an extension is necessary.
33.6 The Staff Association member will be returned to the position held prior to commencement of the leave, or if not available, to a position consistent with their previous experience at not less than the salary and other benefits that were applicable at the time the leave commenced.
33.7 The Staff Association shall receive written notice two (2) weeks prior to the secondment of any Staff Association member. Where such a situation should arise, all agreements regarding secondment shall name the Association as a party, and shall not result in the loss by the employee of any rights accorded herein.
Secondment. The temporary transfer of a faculty member for a specified period of time to or from one position to another. A secondment can also include a temporary transfer of an employee to or from another employer where the faculty member in question remains on the College payroll.
Secondment. 1. A teacher who is seconded to District duties for a temporary period not exceeding one year shall receive the same salary and allowance as prior to secondment. If the secondment is to a position currently named in the agreement, the teacher shall receive the greater of current total salary, or the salary and allowance of the named position.
2. Secondment will be to perform a specific task or tasks, or to serve in an acting capacity in a named position.
3. Should a position filled by secondment continue beyond one year, the salary, and allowance if any, for the second and subsequent years will be negotiated under the terms of Article E.20
Secondment. Where a Nurse is being seconded from the Employer to a position involving the Health Sector of the Broader Public Sector, the terms and conditions of the secondment agreement will be established by agreement of the Employer and the Union.
Secondment. Employees can be seconded for a period of up to two (2) years.
