Use of Authorized Prescriptions and Drugs. a. Authorized prescription drugs and “over the counter” legal drugs may be used at the work place so long as prescribed dosage and recommended use is not exceeded and the use of these drugs do not adversely affect the employee’s ability to perform required work in a safe and secure manner. When such legal drugs are to be used at the work place and may impair performance, employees shall inform their supervisors.
