Use of Paid Leave for Certain Family Members. Effective January 1, 2003, per Substitute Senate Xxxx 6426, nurses can use accrued sick, annual leave, or floating holiday to care for a spouse, parent, parent-in-law, or grandparent of the nurse who has a serious health condition or an emergency condition.
