Common use of Utility Interconnection Agreement Clause in Contracts

Utility Interconnection Agreement. A. The Contractor shall be responsible to ensure that the project satisfies all utility criteria for interconnection of the project to the specified utility service area’s electric distribution system. This includes coordinating all negotiations, paying any interconnection fees, meeting with the Utility, design reviews, and participating in any needed interaction between the Utility and the Owner. The Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with the interconnection process that can be determined at the time of the Contractor’s response to a sitespecific solicitation and these costs will be a part of the Contractor’s quote.
