Vehicle Accommodation. All Dwelling Types • Vehicular access and location of garages to Lots 13, 19, 59-64 (island of lots between Belair Crescent and Havana Avenue) are to be accessed solely off Havana Way as shown on the relevant POD. No vehicular access to these allotments is to be achieved from Belair Crescent. • Basement garages are encouraged. • Basements may extend to the full extent of the allotment to both side boundaries but must maintain a minimum 3m setback to the front and rear boundaries (refer Diagram 5). • Enclosed car accommodation is to be a minimum of 6.0m x 6.0m, or if tandem, sufficient for 2 standard passenger vehicles is to be provided to each dwelling. • The garage doors must not exceed 6m in the width of the dwelling. • Open carports are not allowed. • Storage of caravans, trailers, boats. etc. is to be configured so as not to be visible from the street or public space. • Additional car parking spaces may be provided in tandem within the property boundary. • Garage doors must be sectional type and roller doors are not permitted. • Architecturally designed rolling gates will be permitted as an alternate to garage doors. Swinging gates are not acceptable. • Garage doors are to be setback 4.5m from the front property boundary except where indicated differently on the relevant POD. • Where a triple garage is proposed the third garage must be setback an additional 1.0m behind the other garages.
Vehicle Accommodation. A minimum of two car spaces must be provided per dwelling. Lock up garages are preferable, must be provided for a minimum of one vehicle, and must reflect the architectural design elements of the main dwelling. Garage doors shall not dominate the architectural design. Garage doors are to be panel lift or sectional doors ONLY. Roller doors are not permitted. The roof pitch of the garage is to match the house. Garages must be positioned behind the main dwelling face, and must be attached to the main dwelling. Colours and materials used are to be the same as the main dwelling. Carports will only be approved at the discretion of the DCG. Garages shall occupy no more than 50%of the total lot frontage.
