Common use of Verification of Insurance Coverage Clause in Contracts

Verification of Insurance Coverage. The Consultant shall furnish certificates of insurance to the Risk Administrator for review and approval prior to the execution of this Agreement. The Certificates shall clearly indicate that the Consultant has obtained insurance of the type, amount and classification required by these provisions, in excess of any pending claims at the time of contract award to the Consultant. Consultant shall maintain coverage with equal or better rating as identified herein for the term of this contract. Consultant shall provide written notice to the City’s Department of Risk Management of any material change, cancellation and/or notice of non-renewal of the insurance within 30 days of the change. Consultant shall furnish a copy of the insurance policy or policies upon request of the Risk Administrator. Consultant shall furnish copies of insurance policies pertaining to this Agreement to Risk Administrator within ten (10) days of written request.
