Voluntary Long-Term Care Coverage Clause Samples

The Voluntary Long-Term Care Coverage clause establishes an option for individuals to elect additional insurance coverage specifically for long-term care needs, such as assistance with daily living activities due to chronic illness or disability. Typically, this clause outlines eligibility requirements, enrollment procedures, and the types of services covered, such as nursing home care or in-home assistance. Its core function is to provide employees or policyholders with the flexibility to secure financial protection against the potentially high costs of long-term care, addressing a significant gap not usually covered by standard health insurance.
