Voluntary Mediation. Within ten (10) working days after the response at Step Two or Step Three, the AEA may request or the AEA and the District may mutually agree to defer the matter to mediation. If the matter goes to mediation, the parties shall mutually select a mediator who shall attempt to assist the parties to settle the grievance. The mediator shall not issue a decision and the mediation process shall be confidential.
