Common use of Wage Rate Penalty Clause in Contracts

Wage Rate Penalty. Contractor and any Subcontractor(s) shall comply with the provisions of Labor Code Section 1775. Contractor and any Subcontractor(s) shall be subject to a penalty in an amount up to $200, or a higher amount as provided by Section 1775, for each calendar day, or portion thereof, for each worker paid less than the prevailing wage rates for any work done by Contractor or Subcontractor(s) under Contract.
