WAIVER IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. Section 39.1 In cases of emergency declared by the President of the United States, the Governor of the State of Ohio, the State Legislature, the Xxxxxx County Sheriff, or the Chief, such as acts of God or civil disorder, the following conditions of this Agreement may be temporarily suspended by the Employer: A. Time limits for the processing of grievances; and B. All work rules and/or agreements and practices relating to the assignment of employees. Section 39.2 Upon the termination of the emergency should valid grievances exist, they shall be processed in accordance with the provisions outlined in the grievance procedure of this Agreement and shall proceed from the point in the grievance procedure to which they, the grievance(s), had properly progressed, prior to the emergency.
