Common use of WAIVER IN CASE OF EMERGENCY Clause in Contracts

WAIVER IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. Section 34.1 In cases of emergency declared by the President of the United States, the Governor of the State of Ohio, the Board of Richland County Commissioners, the Richland County Engineer, the Federal or State Legislature, such as acts of God or civil disorder, the following conditions of this Agreement shall automatically be suspended: A. time limits for Management or the Union’s replies on grievances; and, B. all work rules and/or agreements and practices relating to the assignment of all county employees. Section 34.2 Upon the termination of the emergency, should valid grievances exist, they shall be processed in accordance with the provisions outlined in the grievance procedure of this Agreement and shall proceed from the point in the grievance procedure to which they (the grievances) had properly progressed.
