Waiver of Joint and Survivor Pension Before Commencement of Pension Payments. Before commencement of pension benefit payments to the contractholder, the eligible spouse may waive entitlement to receive benefits in the form of a joint and survivor pension, if provided for under applicable pension legislation and in the manner prescribed under this legislation. The eligible spouse may also revoke this waiver when permitted under this legislation and must do so in the manner prescribed under such legislation.

  • Commencement of Benefits The benefits commence six (6) months from the date that disability began, which shall include the period of payment under the terms of the Short Term Income Protection Plan. Proof of disability must be submitted within six (6) months following the Qualifying Period.

The Employer shall advise the survivor of this benefit.

  • Death Benefits Upon the Executive's death during the Contract Period, his estate shall not be entitled to any further benefits under this Agreement.
