Common use of Weighing Services Clause in Contracts

Weighing Services. Weighing services for stumpage payment purposes may be provided by (a) Be an electronic design, (b) Use electronic load cells or have a fully enclosed and sealed weigh-beam, (c) Have digital weight meters sealed with a seal approved by the State, (d) Have a zero interlocking device on the printer, (e) Have an automatic zero-setting mechanism, (f) Have an automatic motion-detecting device, (g) Be shielded against radio or electromagnetic interference, and (h) Have a date and time stamp and gross and tare weights that print electronically with each weighing. Contract- ing Officer may waive electronic printing for public or third party weighing facilities. Contractor shall bear all charges or fees for weighing services.
