Work Calendars. 11.3.1. The District shall provide school site employees working less than twelve (12) months with a start and end date appropriate to their work assignment {i.e., ten (10) months}. Non-school site employees working less than twelve (12) months shall be provided a blank calendar for the employee to submit to his/her director/supervisor for approval and submission to the Human Resources Department.
Work Calendars. A. The District and the MEA agree that a work calendar for each subsequent school year shall be mutually developed by June 1, of each calendar year through a meet and confer process. (School year calendars Appendix D and Appendix E.)
B. The number of scheduled workdays for teachers shall be one hundred eight-five (185) per school year, unless otherwise agreed upon. Students shall be scheduled to be present for one hundred eighty (180) of the scheduled workdays, with the remaining five (5) workdays scheduled as full inservice days each school year during the term of this Agreement. Two (2) of the inservice days shall be scheduled at the beginning of the school year. Of the two (2) scheduled inservice days at the beginning of the schoolyear, individual teachers may choose to spend one and one half (1 ½) of the days for classroom preparation and legally mandated trainings. The remaining three (3) inservice days shall be scheduled as full staff development days with input from the Association as to the placement on the school year calendar. On inservice days, the amount of time allotted for lunch shall not be less than one (1) hour.
C. District nurses may be assigned to by the Superintendent to work up to one hundred ninety-two (192) days per school year. The additional days of work will be paid at the unit member’s daily rate which is based upon the unit member’s placement on the certificated salary schedule.
D. Minimum days may be scheduled by the District as follows:
1) In Grades TK-5, up to forty-two (42) days, inclusive of Fridays,
2) In Grades 6-8, up to eight (8),
3) In Grades 9-12, up to seven (7), with at least four (4) days used for exams.
E. Full day staff development programs may be scheduled at the discretion of the District. Students will not be present and site time shall be as provided in Section 2.A.
F. The District, after consultation with the Association, may schedule up to an additional two (2) hours of inservice training per quarter of a school year beyond the regular site time. Unit members who are required to participate in such inservice shall receive extra pay at the hourly inservice rate established by Article XV, Salary Schedules.

Each employee shall receive a calendar for his/her department annually, no later than the beginning of his/her contract year or within thirty (30) days of subsequent revisions. Transportation employees and Food Service Personnel will not be required to work, and will not be compensated, when students are not in session (e.g., waiver days) unless specifically requested to work by their supervisor or the Superintendent.

In addition to working all days during which students are in attendance, the District’s Food Service Personnel shall work five (5) additional days, as scheduled by their supervisor, two (2) of which shall be dedicated to in-services, and one (1) of which will include the day before the first day of classes.

An Employee who works more than 188 and less than 260 days will be notified of their ending date of the current year and their start date of the following school year no later than May 1st by Human Resources. In the event of a calendar change, Employees will receive their new end date as soon as possible. Non-student attendance days an Employee works will be flexible so long as the day(s) and the make up day(s) are previously discussed with their direct supervisor and approved by Human Resources. An Employee who works more than 217 days and works the day prior to and after the Independence Day holiday will be paid for the holiday.
Work Calendars. Hours must be recorded by the employee in their shared Outlook calendars in such a way that staff and management can identify the planned work hours of the staff person on a given day. For planning purposes, employees are asked to note their work hours in their shared Outlook calendar with as much advance notice as possible, but it is understood by management that schedules can abruptly change. Employees are asked to submit changes as soon as possible in their shared Outlook calendar and via email to their direct supervisor no later than three business days.
Work Calendars. The Parties agree that all unit members shall be required to work their assigned work calendar for the 2020-2021 school year. Work calendars may need to be adjusted in order to meet the needs of a site or District. In such cases, the District shall meet to negotiate any changes with EGEA.

Work Calendars. 3.1 Bargaining unit members will follow the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Appendix C Calendar guidelines when setting and or amending their 2020-2021 work calendar as required. Bargaining unit members required by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent to work specific days and hours beyond their calendar will be compensated according to Appendix C.5.1 of the CBA. This includes required work days between June 9, 2021 and July 25, 2021.
3.2 The District agrees not to schedule mandatory meetings before 8:00 am or after 5:00 pm. Except in cases of an emergency, administrators shall not be expected to respond to email communications received after 5:00 pm. The parties agree that administrators will continue to perform their normal routine duties.
