WORK EQUIPMENT and CLOTHING. 16.01 The Employer shall have the right to establish appropriate dress standards for employees and may require employees to wear identifying apparel when deemed necessary and appropriate. Should employees be required to wear identifying apparel, the Employer at no cost to the employee shall supply such items. a) The Employer will provide regular employees with safety related clothing (including work gloves, coveralls, rain gear), equipment when required. Replacement of these items will be made only at the discretion of the Employer upon presentation of the damaged or worn out article to be replaced. Employees must provide at their expense, suitable clothing for the safe and efficient performance of the work. b) Each calendar year the Employer shall pay a maximum of one hundred seventy five dollars ($175.00) and as of January 1st, 2011 this allowance will increase to two hundred ($200.00) towards the purchase of prescription safety glasses and/or replacement lenses for prescription safety glasses, upon the presentation of receipt, for all employees requiring them to safely perform their job duties. Replacement of the prescription safety glasses or lenses will be made only at the discretion of the Employer upon presentation of the damaged or worn out article.
