Work in Higher Classification. If any part of the workday is worked in a higher classification than the classification under which the employee is called for work, the higher rate shall prevail for the entire workday. The employee reverts to his regular classification the next day unless notified to the contrary. However, the provisions of this Article do not apply unless the employee is assigned to work in the higher classification for two (2) hours or more.
Work in Higher Classification. Employees working in a higher classification for more than four (4) hours in duration shall be paid at the higher rate of pay for the entire shift.
Work in Higher Classification. Any employee who is required to perform the work of a higher classification for one (1) hour or more shall be paid for the time worked at the higher classification rate of pay calculated by the same method as provided for under Article 8.15.1 for determining the appropriate step placement for promotion.
Work in Higher Classification. When an employee is requested to work in a higher wage classification, such employee shall be paid the higher rate of pay for all hours worked in the higher classification.
Work in Higher Classification. In the event a member of the bargaining unit replaces a higher paid officer, a lieutenant for a full shift or more, such employee shall be compensated at the rate of pay of the position replaced for the actual hours worked in such a higher position.
Work in Higher Classification. An employee who is specifically authorized and assigned by a Department Director or his or her designee to temporarily assume the duties of a higher pay status classification, that is an established budgeted position currently on the Department’s table of organization, for more than five (5) consecutive work days in one pay period or within two (2) consecutive pay periods will receive a one (1) pay step increase for all consecutive hours worked in the higher classification. The maximum out of class compensation shall be limited to thirteen (13) pay periods unless specifically approved by the Department Director and the Human Resources Department Director.
Work in Higher Classification. A. Employees temporarily assigned (for two (2) hours or more) by the Employer to a classification with a higher rate of pay shall be placed on a step in the higher classification closest to, but not lower than, his/her current rate of pay.
Work in Higher Classification. If an employee is temporarily (that is, on a day-to-day basis) assigned to a job with a higher rate of pay for four (4) or more continuous hours and the employee is capable of doing the job, the employee shall receive the rate of the higher job classification. The employee will receive the increase in pay for all hours worked in the assignment. For custodial staff hired on or after 7/1/08, the applicable higher class pay rate is the “7/2/99 and after” rate in Appendix C. CREW LEADER 20-2 In the absence of, or to assist regular supervisory staff, the University may temporarily assign an available regular bargaining unit employee in the required classification and shift as a crew leader to direct other employees in the performance of their duties. When such assignments are made, the University shall designate the duties to be performed by the crew leader which may include (but not necessarily limited to) the following:
Work in Higher Classification. 31.1 An employee who is assigned work in a higher classification than he/she is normally assigned shall be compensated at the rate of the appropriate level for the assigned position. Persons assigned to work at such positions should be from a list of eligible employees for promotion to that classification. In either case the employee will be paid at the higher classification once the employee has worked within that classification for a minimum of one (1) hour.
Work in Higher Classification. An employee who is authorized by the Trust to temporarily assume the duties of a higher pay status classification, or in the case of LPN’s working in a charge capacity, for more than one (1) full shift will receive one dollar ($1.00) per hour for all hours worked in the higher classification, or in the charge capacity in the case of LPN’s.
