Work Performance Notations Clause Samples
The 'Work Performance Notations' clause establishes a formal process for recording observations, comments, or evaluations regarding the quality, progress, or compliance of work performed under a contract. Typically, this clause outlines who is authorized to make such notations, the method for documenting them (such as written reports or digital entries), and how these records are communicated to relevant parties. Work Performance Notations. (1) A copy of any and all notations relating to the work performance of an employee, which are made in an employee’s personnel file, shall be given to the employee.
(2) Unit members shall have the right upon request and by appointment to review the contents of his/her personnel file. Unit members will be entitled to have a representative of the Association accompany him/her during such review.
Work Performance Notations. A. No material derogatory to an employee’s conduct, service, character, or personality shall be placed in his/her personnel file unless the employee has had the opportunity to review the material. This clause shall not apply to:
1) Reference information supplied by former employers.
2) Reference information supplied by colleges and universities.
B. The employee shall also have the right to submit a written reply to such material and attach it to the file copy.
C. If such material leads to any disciplinary action of an employee, then such matter can be submitted to the grievance procedure.
D. An employee shall have the right upon request and by appointment to review the contents of his/her personnel file wherever maintained except information supplied by reference sources. An employee will be entitled to have a representative of the Union accompany him/her during such review.
