Common use of Work Year for Service Director (Special Education) and Area Service Directors Clause in Contracts

Work Year for Service Director (Special Education) and Area Service Directors. As a condition of employment, the Service Director (Special Education) and Area Service Directors shall be required to work one (1) month in addition to the standard school year as defined in Article 24.01(a). Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Service Director (Special Education) and Area Service Directors may be required to work at times during Standard Vacations as defined in Article 24.01(c) but in no case shall they be required to work a number of days in any calendar year greater than the total equivalent to the standard school year plus one (1) month, with the proviso that extra time given to complete professional responsibilities or for occasional professional development activities shall not be taken into account as being part of the additional one (1) month to be worked.
