Working Supervisor - Public Works. An employee who is a working supervisor in charge of a crew of not more than six (6) other employees engaged in performing a wide variety of duties, such as the installation, construction, operation, maintenance and repair of streets, pipelines, buildings and other facilities. The employee should possess the craft qualifications of a Heavy Equipment Operator or another related journeyman craft. The employee shall have the personal qualifications of leadership and supervisory ability and be familiar with the City’s construction and safety standards, accounting procedures and all other applicable rules and regulations. The employee shall be capable of performing the duties with skill, efficiency, and safety. When in charge of a crew of more than six (6) other employees the employee’s wage rate shall be increased by five percent (5%).
