Common use of Xxxx Fide Emergency Clause in Contracts

Xxxx Fide Emergency. A bona fide emergency is an unforeseen circumstance that requires immediate action by the officer. In the event of a bona fide emergency and when the officer’s actual supervisor or designated supervisor (other Sergeants or the Captain) within the region is not available to grant approval, an officer may exercise discretion in determining the need to work time not previously designated on their schedule. Not later than the next working day the Officer will report to their actual or designated supervisor the nature of bona fide emergency justifying the schedule modification. Such modification may qualify for callback in accordance with Section41.17.
