XXXXXXXXX ON RETIREMENT. When a member of the bargaining unit retires from active service under the provisions of the School Employees Retirement System and such employee has been, at the time of retirement, in the continuous service of this school district for at least five (5) full years preceding retirement, upon application, he/she shall be eligible for a severance benefit calculated in accordance with Section C. of this article.
