XXXXXXXXX PROVISION. Any unit employee excessed by the District shall have health and dental insurance coverage extended for three (3) months at the prevailing % rate, starting the 1st of the month following lay-off. At the end of the three (3) month period, the excessed employee will have the COBRA option unless (s)he is re-employed within the year and is eligible to participate in a group health plan with the new employer.
