Abuse of definition

Abuse of funds" means using the assets or income of a Resident against the express wishes of the Resident unless the expenditure was necessary for the direct and immediate welfare of the Resident. Abuse also means using the assets or income of the Resident for the use or benefit of another unless such use is for the direct and immediate benefit of the Resident or is consistent with an express wish and past behavior of the Resident.
Abuse of means an individual's improper use of power and authority inherent in the position held, by means of intimidation, threats, blackmail or coercion. This comprises actions which endanger an employee's job, undermine an employee's ability to perform the job or threatens the economic livelihood of an employee. However, it shall not include the legitimate exercise of an individual's supervisorypower or authority. Complaints of harassment should be brought to the attention of the Manager prior to a grievance. Employees may be assisted by the Union in a complaint. Any level in the grievance procedure may be waived if a person hearing the grievance is the subject of the complaint. Grievances under this Article will be handled with all possible confidentiality and dispatch by the Union and the Employer. An alleged offender shall be given notice of the substance of a complaint under this Article and shall be given notice of and be entitled to attend, participate in, and be represented at any grievance hearing or any adjudication under this Agreement.

Examples of Abuse of in a sentence

  • Abuse of sick leave on the part of the employee is cause for disciplinary action.

  • Abuse of the system via ANY script/program/code will result in a penalty up to $250, and possible termination of service.

  • Abuse of sick leave is the utilization of sick leave for reasons other than those stated in state law or this contract.

  • Abuse of leave shall constitute just cause for disciplinary action which may include dismissal.

  • Abuse means theft, waste, or improper use of assets related to ADB-related activity, either committed intentionally or through reckless disregard;

  • Harassment means a pattern of unwelcome verbal or physical conduct relating to another person's constitutionally or statutorily protected status that causes, or reasonably should be expected to cause, substantial interference with the other's performance in the school environment; and

  • Discrimination or harassment means discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, religion, ancestry, national origin, or disability.

  • Violent felony means the same as that term is defined in Section 76-3-203.5.

  • Game animals means wild animals that shall not be hunted
