Active/Inactive Employee Sample Clauses

Active/Inactive Employee. If you are covered under another plan as an active employee, your benefits and those of your dependents under that plan will be determined before benefits under this plan. The plan covering the active employee and dependents will be the primary plan. The plan covering that same employee as inactive (including those who are retired or have been laid off) will be the secondary plan for that employee and dependents.

Active/Inactive Employee. The benefits of a Plan which cover a person as an employee who is neither laid off nor retired or as that employee's dependent(s) are determined before those of a Plan which covers that person as a laid off or retired employee or as that employee’s dependent. If the other Plan does not have this rule and if, as a result, the Plans do not agree on the order of benefits, this rule is ignored.
