Actual Holiday definition

Actual Holiday means the day of the month that a holiday falls on. This is not necessarily the day that the County officially recognizes the holiday.
Actual Holiday means the day(s) for which employees shall receive “premium” pay.
Actual Holiday means the date the holiday falls on the Gregorian calendar as opposed to the date the Village observes the holiday. Employees will not receive premium pay for working on the day that the Village observes the holiday if different than the actual holiday. The Village observes the following holidays. Examples of Actual Holiday in a sentence

  • If any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday (Observed Holiday in effect) and on a regular workday for the employee, the Actual Holiday will be treated as a holiday worked.

  • If the employee works both the Observed Holiday and the Actual Holiday they are only entitled to treat one of those days as a Holiday Worked.

  • If a General Unit employee works both the Actual Holiday and the Recognized Holiday, the General Unit employee shall receive premium pay or compensatory time for the Actual Holiday only, and shall receive regular pay for the Recognized Holiday.

  • In the event the General Unit employee works on both the Actual and Recognized Holiday, they shall be compensated straight time for hours worked and eight (8) hours for the Actual Holiday and at straight-time for hours worked on the Recognized Holiday.

Related to Actual Holiday

  • Legal Holiday means a Saturday, a Sunday or a day on which banking institutions in the City of New York or at a place of payment are authorized by law, regulation or executive order to remain closed. If a payment date is a Legal Holiday at a place of payment, payment may be made at that place on the next succeeding day that is not a Legal Holiday, and no interest shall accrue on such payment for the intervening period.

  • General Holiday means every Sunday and any other day which is a

  • TARGET2 Business Day means, a day in which the Trans-European Automated Real-Time Gross Settlement Express Transfer (TARGET2) System or any successor is open.

  • Public Holidays means public holidays under NI Act., at the place where the Equipment is located, when banks are closed for business.

  • Day means calendar day.

  • NERC Holidays means a holiday as defined by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation or any successor thereto.
