Affiliate Medical Staff definition

Affiliate Medical Staff means those Medical Staff members who are otherwise qualified, but do not utilize the Hospital as their primary facility for medical practice. Unless otherwise stated, “Affiliate Medical Staff” members must maintain Active Staff Privileges at another facility that requires participation in quality management activities consistent with those of Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Examples of Affiliate Medical Staff in a sentence

  • Any member on the Active or Affiliate Medical Staff in good standing may serve as a Sponsor for an Allied Health Practitioner.

  • The Affiliate Medical Staff shall consist of those Practitioners who are otherwise qualified, but do not utilize the Hospital as their primary facility for medical practice.

  • Affiliate Medical Staff Members shall provide or arrange for continuous coverage for their hospitalized patients whenever they are the Attending Physician.

  • Unless otherwise stated, Affiliate Medical Staff members must maintain Active Staff Privileges at another facility that requires participation in quality management activities consistent with those of Parkview LaGrange Hospital.

  • Affiliate Medical Staff members will complete Continuing Medical Education Credits or Continuing Education Units appropriate to their scope of practice.

  • The Affiliate Medical Staff shall consist of physicians, eligible oral and/or maxillofacial surgeons, or podiatric surgeons who have been selected based on their qualifications to be members of the Medical Staff.

  • Each member of the Affiliate Medical Staff shall be required to discharge the basic responsibilities specified in these Medical Staff Bylaws and, further, shall retain responsibility within the Medical Staff member’s area of professional competence for the care and supervision of each patient in this Hospital for whom he/she is providing services or shall arrange a suitable alternative for such care and supervision.

  • Affiliate Medical Staff members are required to maintain professional liability insurance coverage in the amount of $1 million per claim and $3 million aggregate.

  • An affirmative vote of the majority of Active and Affiliate Medical Staff members in good standing present and entitled to vote constitutes approval for action.

  • Affiliate Medical Staff Members shall provide or arrange for continuous coverage for hospitalized patients whenever they are the Attending Physician.

Related to Affiliate Medical Staff

  • Medical Staff means all physicians, dentists, oral surgeons, and podiatrists who have been appointed to the Medical Staff by the Board.

  • MEDICAL STAFF LEADER means any Medical Staff Officer, department chair, section chief, and committee chair.

  • Clinical staff means persons who work in a hospital whose duties include the personal care or medical treatment of patients. “Clinical staff” includes, but is not limited to, credentialed physicians, physicians’ assistants, nurses, nursing aides, medical technicians, therapists, and other individuals involved in the personal care or medical treatment of patients.

  • Authorized medical physicist means an individual who:

  • Dental Staff means the Dentists who have been appointed by the Board to the Dental Staff;

  • Professional Staff means the Medical Staff, Dental Staff, Midwifery Staff and Extended Class Nursing Staff;

  • Medical physicist means a person trained in evaluating the performance of mammography equipment and facility quality assurance programs and who meets the qualifications for a medical physicist set forth in 41.6(3)“c.”

  • Qualified medical direction means, in the context of the practice of respiratory care, having readily

  • Medical cannabis pharmacy means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Medical Review Officer (MRO means a licensed physician, employed with or contracted with the City, responsible for receiving laboratory results generated by the City's drug testing program who has knowledge of substance abuse disorders, laboratory testing procedures, and chain of custody collection procedures; who verifies positive, confirmed test results, and who has the necessary and appropriate medical training to interpret and evaluate an individual's confirmed positive test result together with his or her medical history and any other relevant biomedical information.

  • Medical care means amounts paid for:

  • Joint Controllers means where two or more Controllers jointly determine the purposes and means of processing;

  • Medical home means a team approach to providing health care that originates in a primary care setting; fosters a partnership among the patient, the personal provider, and other health care professionals, and where appropriate, the patient’s family; utilizes the partnership to access and integrate all medical and nonmedical health-related services across all elements of the health care system and the patient’s community as needed by the patient and the patient’s family to achieve maximum health potential; maintains a centralized, comprehensive record of all health-related services to promote continuity of care; and has all of the characteristics specified in section 135.158.

  • Medical Board means the board of physicians as provided by this chapter.

  • Medical Advise means any consultation or advice from a Medical Practitioner including the issue of any prescription or repeat prescription.

  • Key Staff means staff in positions of executive or managerial responsibility and/or whose performance affects the viability of the business;

  • Emergency medical services personnel means that term as defined in section 20904 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.20904.

  • Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.

  • Subordinate joint force commander means a sub-unified commander or joint task force commander.

  • Qualified medical provider means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Peer-reviewed medical literature means a scientific study published only after having been critically

  • Joint Control means a situation where a company has multiple promoters (but none of the shareholders has more than 50% of voting rights and paid up share capital).

  • Medical personnel means those persons assigned, by a Party to the conflict, exclusively to the medical purposes enumerated under sub-paragraph (e) or to the administration of medical units or to the operation or administration of medical transports. Such assignments may be either permanent or temporary. The term includes:

  • Educational personnel means persons who must meet requirements pursuant to state law as a condition of employment in educational programs.

  • Joint Controller with the other Party;

  • Medical cannabis means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.
