Veteran means an individual who served in the uniformed services and who was discharged or released from the uniformed services under conditions other than dishonorable.
Covered veteran means an individual who was a member of the Armed Forces (including a member of the National Guard or Reserves), and was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable at any time during the five-year period prior to the first date the eligible employee takes FMLA leave to care for the covered veteran.
Veteran-owned Small Business Enterprise (VSBE) means A business that is verified by the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs as a veteran-owned small business. See Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 21.11.13.
Qualified veteran means a person who meets the following requirements:
Disabled veteran means a veteran who (i) has either lost, or lost the use of, a leg, arm, or hand;

Armed Forces service medal veteran means any veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985 (61 FR 1209).
Eligible veteran means an individual who is certified by the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs as meeting all of the following conditions:
Uniformed service veteran means a former uniformed service member who has been discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.
Veterans memorial” means any structure, plaque, statue, or other monument described in 18 U.S.C. § 1369(a).
Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) means a business concern certified as a DVBE by the Office of Small Business Certification and Resources, Department of General Services.
Small Business Enterprise (SBE) means a business that is certified as an SBE under this program or the following similar programs and meeting the below economic thresholds (Section III “Economic Size Standards”).
Health practitioner means a registered health practitioner registered or licensed as a health practitioner under an appropriate law of the State of Tasmania.
Licensed health care practitioner means a physician, as defined in Section 1861(r)(1) of the Social Security Act, a registered professional nurse, licensed social worker or other individual who meets requirements prescribed by the Secretary of the Treasury.
Small Business Enterprise means a for profit small business concern that is at least fifty one percent (51%) owned by one (1) or more individual(s) who are economically disadvantaged. “Economically Disadvantaged Individual” is defined in Appendix B-1, Definitions, in Notice of Requirements for Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program.
Health care worker means a person other than a health care professional who provides medical, dental, or other health-related care or treatment under the direction of a health care professional with the authority to direct that individual's activities, including medical technicians, medical assistants, dental assistants, orderlies, aides, and individuals acting in similar capacities.
Health Home means an individual Provider, team of health care professionals or health team that meets all federal requirements and provides the following six (6) services to persons with one (1) or more specified chronic conditions: (i) comprehensive care management; (ii) Care Coordination and health promotion; (iii) comprehensive transitional care/follow-up; (iv) Member and family support; (v) referral to community and social support services; and (vi) use of Health Information Technology (HIT) to link services, if applicable. Health Information Exchange (HIE) means the transmission of health-care-related data among facilities, health information organizations and government agencies according to national standards. HIE is also an entity that provides services to enable the electronic sharing of health information. Health Information Technology (HIT) means the area of information technology involving the design, development, creation, use and maintenance of information systems for the health care industry.

Veteran-owned business means a business that is at least 51% owned by a veteran or veterans who are U.S. citizens and who control and operate the business
Service-disabled veteran-owned business means a service-disabled veteran-owned business located in the State of Tennessee that satisfies the criteria in Tenn. Code. Ann. § 12-3-1102(8). "Service-disabled veteran" means any person who served honorably in active duty in the armed forces of the United States with at least a twenty percent (20%) disability that is service-connected, i.e., the disability was incurred or aggravated in the line of duty in the active military, naval or air service.
Mental Health Worker means an individual that assists in planning, developing and evaluating mental health services for Clients; provides liaison between Clients and service providers; and has obtained a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field such as psychology, counseling, or social work, or has two years of experience providing client related services to Clients experiencing mental health, drug abuse or alcohol disorders. Education in a behavioral science field such as psychology, counseling, or social work may be substituted for up to one year of the experience requirement.
