Alternate Recipient definition

Alternate Recipient means any Child of a Participant who is recognized under a Medical Child Support Order as having a right to enrollment under this Plan as the Participant’s eligible Dependent. For purposes of the benefits provided under this Plan, an Alternate Recipient shall be treated as an eligible Dependent, but for purposes of the reporting and disclosure requirements under ERISA, an Alternate Recipient shall have the same status as a Participant.
Alternate Recipient means any child of a Participant who is recognized under a Medical Child Support Order as having a right to enroll in this Plan with respect to the Participant.
Alternate Recipient means a child of the employee or retiree named within a support order as being entitled to coverage under an employer's group health plan.

Examples of Alternate Recipient in a sentence

  • Payments and notice regarding the receipt and/or adjudication of claims may also be sent to an Alternate Recipient (which is defined herein as any child of a Subscriber who is recognized under a “Qualified Medical Child Support Order” as having a right to enrollment under the Employer’s Plan), or that person’s custodial parent or designated representative.

  • Payments may also be made to, and notice regarding the receipt and/or adjudication of claims, an Alternate Recipient, or that person’s custodial parent or designated representative.

  • The Plan Administrator shall enroll for immediate coverage under this Plan any Alternate Recipient who is the subject of a Medical Child Support Order that is a “Qualified Medical Child Support Order” (“QMCSO”) if such an individual is not already covered by the Plan as an Eligible Dependent, once the Plan Administrator has determined that such order meets the standards for qualification set forth below.
