The University, in line with the Degree Apprenticeship provision in Wales, is committed to ensuring that applicants with vocational qualifications and/or significant workplace experience are able to access these Degree Apprenticeship Programmes.
Fee Credits are not permitted for use against Microcredentials or Apprenticeship Programmes.
The Apprenticeship Team are responsible for leading and managing the Apprenticeship Programmes and liaising with the line manager during the recruitment and “expressions of interest” process, where you will contribute to the interview panel if necessary.

These programmes were developed in accordance with the Statutory Quality Assurance Guidelines developed by QQI for Providers of Statutory Apprenticeship Programmes and GMIT’s own quality assurance policies and procedures for new programme validation.
The policy is guided by QQI’s Topic Specific Quality Assurance (QA) Guidelines for Statutory Apprenticeship Programmes and QQI’s Policy for Collaborative Programmes, Transnational Programmes and Joint Awards as key external reference points but is also interdependent with other University policies and procedures relating to programme development, teaching, learning and assessment.
Please note that some Apprenticeship Programmes may have specific requirements for an occupational health check and/or a relevant criminal record check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
The Employer agrees with the Union that all of the Apprenticeship Programmes it runs, will be a minimum of three years in duration.
