Aquifer storage and recovery well or "ASR well" means a well that is used to store water in an aquifer during periods of low water demand and then recover the water for use during periods of high demand.
Aquifer storage and recovery well and “ASR Well” means a well designated or constructed to be used to inject into storage or recover from storage water from an aquifer within the District as part of an ASR Project.

The term does not include separate storm sewers in very discrete areas, such as individual buildings.

  • Water well means an excavation that is drilled, cored, bored, augered, washed, driven, dug, jetted, or otherwise constructed for the purpose of exploring for groundwater, monitoring groundwater, utilizing the geothermal properties of the ground, or extracting water from or injecting water into the aquifer. “Water well” does not include an open ditch or drain tiles or an excavation made for obtaining or prospecting for oil, natural gas, minerals, or products mined or quarried.
