Authorizing Legislation definition

Authorizing Legislation means the provisions of the state constitution or statutes or of a local charter authorizing the existence and powers of a political subdivision and providing for the call and conduct of the political subdivision's election.
Authorizing Legislation refers to the statutes enacted by the Oregon and California Legislatures, respectively, to authorize and implement certain aspects of this Settlement, if necessary.
Authorizing Legislation means Amendment No. 18 to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as amended by the amendment to the said constitution sometimes referred to as Amendment No. 152, and as subsequently amended and modified.

Examples of Authorizing Legislation in a sentence

  • In the implementation of this Settlement, Public Agency Parties shall comply with Applicable Law, including but not limited to the Authorizing Legislation, NEPA, ESA, CWA, the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, and CEQA.

  • If the Facilities are removed in a staged manner, annual FERC license conditions applying to the Facility being removed shall no longer be in effect as provided in the Authorizing Legislation, and PacifiCorp shall continue to comply with license conditions pertaining to any Facility still in place to the extent such compliance is not prevented by the removal of any other Facility.

More Definitions of Authorizing Legislation

Authorizing Legislation means the "Public Facilities Boards Act," Title 14, Chapter 137 of the Arkansas Code of 1987 Annotated, all acts supplemental thereto or amendatory thereof.
