Behavioral Management definition

Behavioral Management means any intervention or treatment that utilizes positive reinforcement and/or restrictions to help an individual receiving services to develop and/or strengthen recovery-oriented behaviors and to address and correct targeted behaviors.

Behavioral Management means planned therapeutic interventions, expectations, or restrictions implemented in response to specific behavioral criteria to preserve the therapeutic environment, to promote a safe and orderly environment, or to augment treatment and services; e.g., time out, level system, step program, token economy, rules of conduct.

Behavioral Management means the use of verbal interactions and physical restraint approved by the provider to manage an individual’s behavior when it is potentially dangerous to self or others.
