Berne Union definition

Berne Union means the International Union established by the Berne Convention;
Berne Union means those countries which are contracting parties to the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works signed at Berne on the 9th day of September, 1886 to which Barbados is a party;

  • The above indemnity shall only apply to software created by the Seller and shall only apply in respect of copyright infringement in countries (which presently includes United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and United States of America) which, at the time of infringement, are members of the Berne Union and recognise computer software as “work” under the Berne Convention or any successor international agreement or treaties concerning the protection of copyright works.

  • Article 18.3 subjects the general principle to special conventions on this subject that might be concluded by the Berne Union, and further provides: “In the absence of such provisions, the respective countries shall determine, each in so far as it is con- cerned, the conditions of application of this principle.” Article 18.4 subjects new adherents to the Convention to these rules.

  • CEUs must be earned after September 1, 2017, and while employed with Berne Union Local Schools.
