Blocking Law definition

Blocking Law means (a) any provision of Council Regulation (EC) No 2271/1996 of 22 November 1996 (or any law or regulation implementing such Regulation in any member state of the European Union or the United Kingdom), and (b) with respect to each Lender that qualifies as a resident party domiciled in Germany (Inländer) within the meaning of section 2 paragraph 15 of the German Foreign Trade and Payments Act (Außenwirtschaftsgesetzg), section 7 of the German Foreign Trade and Payment Ordinance (Außenwirtschaftsverordnung).
Blocking Law means (a) any provision of Council Regulation (EC) No 2271/1996 of 22 November 1996 (or any law or regulation implementing such Regulation in any member state of the European Union or the United Kingdom), (b) section 7 of the German Foreign Trade Regulation (Außenwirtschaftsverordnung) or (c) any similar blocking or anti-boycott law.

Examples of Blocking Law in a sentence

  • Any provision of this Section 4.11 shall not apply to any Person if and to the extent that it would result in a breach, by or in respect of that Person, of any applicable Blocking Law.

  • Any provision of this Clause ‎17.2 shall not apply to or in favour of any person if and to the extent that it would result in a breach, by or in respect of that person, of any applicable Blocking Law.
