BLS Ambulance definition

BLS Ambulance means an ambulance in which Basic Life Support (BLS) is provided in an emergency by certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).
BLS Ambulance means a basic life support ambulance staffed with two EMT personnel, one of which is certified as an EMT-Intermediate or Advanced EMT and the other certified at the level of EMT or higher.

  • When ordering an Ambulance, the Resource Order must specify whether ordering a Type 1 Advanced Life Support (ALS), Type 3 Intermediate Life Support (ILS), or Type 3 Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance.

  • Each BLS Ambulance is manned by two AAO with wireless communication & Emergency First-Aid.

  • This Regulation shall apply to any person, firm, corporation, other business or non-profit entity, association either as owner, agent or otherwise providing either prehospital, interfacility or interhospital ambulance service meeting the definitions of either "BLS Ambulance Service" or "Non-Emergency Ambulance Service" within the State.

  • Any person, firm, corporation or association either as owner, agent or otherwise who furnish, conduct, maintain, advertise or otherwise engage in or profess to be engaged in the business or service of providing BLS Ambulance Service upon the streets or highways of this state shall hold a valid permit as either a Primary or Secondary Ambulance Service Provider issued by the Delaware State Fire Prevention Commission.

  • Only companies holding a current, valid BLS Ambulance Service Provider Permit shall be authorized to respond and provide BLS Ambulance Service within the state.

  • Each Primary and Secondary BLS Ambulance Service Provider shall be responsible for monitoring quality assurance in the form of patient care and both mobilization and response times.

  • Provide the names, locations and conditions of all Secondary BLS Ambulance Service contracts to the Commission within 20 days of contract finalization.

  • A Primary or Secondary BLS Ambulance Service Provider may not discontinue BLS Ambulance Service until a replacement provider has been selected and can assume BLS Ambulance Service with no reduction in service.

  • Ambulance means a registered road vehicle, boat or aircraft operated by an Ambulance Service Provider and equipped for the transport of persons requiring medical attention.

  • Air ambulance means any aircraft specifically constructed, modified, or equipped and used for the primary purpose of responding to emergency calls and transporting critically ill or injured patients whose medical flight crew has at a minimum two attendants certified or licensed in advanced life support.

  • Ambulance service means an entity, its personnel and equipment including, but not limited to, automobiles, airplanes, boats or helicopters, which are licensed to provide Emergency medical and Ambulance services in the state in which the services are rendered.

  • Cold Weather Alert means the notice that PJM provides to PJM Members, Transmission Owners, resource owners and operators, customers, and regulators to prepare personnel and facilities for expected extreme cold weather conditions.

  • Ambulatory review means utilization review of health care services performed or provided in an outpatient setting.

  • Ambulance service provider means Latrobe Health Services recognises the following providers for the purposes of paying benefits:

  • Nonambulatory means a person who immediately and without the aid of another is not physically and mentally capable of traveling a normal path to safety, including the ascent and descent of stairs.

  • Automotive windshield washer fluid means any liquid designed for use in a motor vehicle windshield washer system either as an antifreeze or for the purpose of cleaning, washing, or wetting the windshield. Automotive windshield washer fluid does not include fluids placed by the manufacturer in a new vehicle.

  • Stormwater management planning agency means a public body authorized by legislation to prepare stormwater management plans.

  • Ambulatory surgical facility means a facility that:  Is licensed by the state where it is located.  Is equipped and operated mainly to provide for surgeries or obstetrical deliveries.  Allows patients to leave the facility the same day the surgery or delivery occurs.

  • Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Management Program means a management program covering the duration of a state permit for a municipal separate storm sewer system that includes a comprehensive planning process that involves public participation and intergovernmental coordination, to reduce the discharge of pollutants to the maximum extent practicable, to protect water quality, and to satisfy the appropriate water quality requirements of the CWA and regulations, and this article and its attendant regulations, using management practices, control techniques, and system, design, and engineering methods, and such other provisions that are appropriate.

  • Chiropractor means an individual licensed under Chapter 4734. of the Revised Code to practice chiropractic.

  • Seaplane means an aeroplane capable normally of taking off from and alighting solely on water;

  • apron means a defined area intended to accommodate aircraft for purposes of loading or unloading passengers, mail or cargo, fuelling, parking or maintenance;

  • Mental health therapist means the same as that term is defined in Section 58-60-102.

  • Stormwater management planning area means the geographic area for which a stormwater management planning agency is authorized to prepare stormwater management plans, or a specific portion of that area identified in a stormwater management plan prepared by that agency.

  • Massage therapist means a person who practices massage therapy.

  • Medical Specialist means any medical practitioner who is vocationally registered by the Medical Council under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 in one of the approved branches of medicine and who is employed in either that branch of medicine or in a similar capacity with minimal oversight.

  • Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) means a qualified person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.

  • Non-Administrator Ambulatory Surgical Facility means an Ambulatory Surgical Facility which does not meet the definition of an Administrator Ambulatory Surgical Facility.

  • Ambulatory surgical center means any public or private State licensed and approved (whenever required by law) establishment with an organized medical staff of Physicians, with permanent facilities that are equipped and operated primarily for the purpose of performing Surgical Procedures, with continuous Physician services and registered professional nursing service whenever a patient is in the facility, and which does not provide service or other accommodations for patients to stay overnight.

  • Nuclear pharmacy means a pharmacy providing radio-pharmaceutical service.

  • Transportation network company means a company or organization facilitating and/or providing transportation services using a computer or digital application or platform to connect or match passengers with drivers for compensation or a fee.

  • Intake means “Sanctioned Intake”.
