Business Associate Subcontractor definition

Business Associate Subcontractor means, as defined in 45 C.F.R. § 160.103, any entity (including an agent) that creates, receives, maintains or transmits Protected Health Information on behalf of Business Associate.
Business Associate Subcontractor or “Subcontractor” means a contractor to Business Associate that performs services as a Business Associate as that term is defined in 45 CFR §160.103.

  • If Covered Entity or Business Associate determines that an impermissible acquisition, access, use or disclosure of PHI by a Subcontractor of Business Associate constitutes a Breach as defined in 45 CFR § 164.402, and if requested by Covered Entity or Business Associate, Subcontractor shall provide notice to the individual(s) whose PHI has been the subject of the Breach.

  • Contractor Project Manager means the employee identified in a Statement of Work as the Contractor project manager.
